County Explorer Camp 2026 marks an exciting chapter in how we deliver County Camp. Explorer Scouting — and the programme you take part in — continues to evolve, and this year’s camp has been designed to reflect that. We’re moving away from the full days of tightly scheduled, ranked activities and introducing a more flexible, balanced and social programme that better suits you.
You will choose three Big Ticket Activities, from which yu will be allocated one main activity to complete during the camp. These Big Ticket Activities will run as either half‑day or full‑day sessions (depending on the activity), with half of the camp taking part in the morning and the other half in the afternoon.
The rest of your time will be spent enjoying Skills, Chills & Thrills — giving you the freedom to explore the site, catch up with Explorers from across the county and take part in a wide range of queue‑and‑do activities whenever you choose.
Alongside this refreshed daytime programme, County Camp will still include shared county moments, such as the Saturday night meal — plus a full programme of evening entertainment to bring everyone together. And for the first time, we’re also introducing a County Camp badge, so you’ll have something special to remember the experience by!
The result is a more relaxed, social and memorable camp — packed with choice, challenge and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.
